The death and rebirth of Roophilia

As foreshadowed in my earlier Roophilia post, I am basically giving the old 1.0 website a rest. Breeding photos (if I take any again) may still go there, but otherwise new content will go to Roophilia 2.0. The old site was important in its day, but that day has passed. No, only new photos. The old photos will stay where they are.

Hm! I suppose that's what I've been doing. ^_^ That said, I think I'd still like to put some photos up on my site, in addition to Flickr - maybe more of a scrapbook, keeping Flickr for the notable ones. 'Course, to some extent, I suppose I've already been doing that too, given I use /images/lj there as a convenient, private image host.

Maybe you could just refresh the existing site occasionally, putting up, say, three of your favorites each season, linking back to Flickr, as a means of luring in new viewers to your photography. Flattr buttons couldn't hurt, either. (I so wish Flickr supported Flattr officially!)

That reminds me I have roo photos from Healesville Sanctuary to send to you. They're not great, being camera phone photos, but I thought you'd like them.

When I first started looking for information about Kangaroo's on the web your site was one of the early ones I found.

I look forward to viewing Roophillia 2.0 and what it contains.
