This was my first time attending the event at all. I watched from the (very crowded) sidewalk at Crown street. You must have been on the other side of the float as I didn't see you. I did see Oz and Mozee though.
I had avoided the parade (and all gay pride parades) in the past as I was worried it would just be an uncomfortable display of kink and fetish. That's what you normally see reported afterall. I was pleasantly surprised that it was more about support and awareness, at least the part that I saw. I left shortly after the furry float and armed services/fire brigades.
Yes, I was on the "wrong" side of the float. I could grouse about being pushed there, but life's too short. I do it for the crowds, not for the TV cameras, and I've gotten snippets of TV coverage at past marches.
You know I wouldn't be involved in anything tawdry! I'm such a sweet and innocent rat, butter wouldn't melt in my mouth!
