That was really rather nicely produced! All very supportive in tone - I even thought the reporter/announcer felt a bit wistful with that closing line of needing to put the wings away for another year. ^_^

And indeed, rather a nice, long shot of you! =:D I'll hafta download that clip before it's taken down - I really need to get around to setting up my webspace again, after all. ^_^

Of course it was very supportive in tone! I just take that for granted, but you would be seeing it through American glasses (even though you currently live in the UK I think you were raised in the US, yes?). The Mardi Gras started out as a protest march but now it is all glitz and glamour and media friendly. There is only a hard core conservative Christian rump that is really opposed to it now. Even our Prime Minister would be too scared to say anything against it in public! It brings a lot of revenue in for Sydney and maybe even for the whole country. I know it's a boon for the airlines at any rate.

I was chuffed to have Rattus feature so promintently in their coverage. I just got lucky. The passenger side is traditionally the one that gets media coverage but I opted to march on the driver side because it was less crowded.
