The volcano was huge! When it erupted, I'd never seen anything like it either. The lava flowed down as fast as an avalanche! There was nothing I could do to stop it - we thought the village was going to be destroyed for sure. But Aang wouldn't give up.

So she has carefully assumed a steady stance and is currently shooting out a waterwhip towards branch some 20-30 feet away from her. There are still some leaves on the tree, and the aim of this particular practice session is to nip off each one - not in the leaf, but at the base. She's doing surprisingly well, considering.]

Somewhere in the back of his mind the reason for her interest in Itachi's elemental chakra clicks into place. The rest of him is busy trying to figure out the mechanics of having such control like that. Elemental chakra is raw and powerful; unless you're using it in meager ways, there's very little that is precise about it.
He spends a minute observing her and her movements. This... is different from that altogether. She's not using the water as a shinobi would in a jutsu - her movements and the water's response make it seem as if she's using it more as an extension of herself. It's vaguely reminiscent of Gaara's relationship with the sand.]

Still, with all the technology we had back home... It would be the easiest thing in the world to throw up a skull-shaped cloud on a colony ship's dome- but recreating it for real? Impossible.
