To get started...

Full name.
Katara. No 'Watertribe' or 'Thunderaxe,' just Katara. If she is being formal, she would say 'of the Southern Watertribe.'

Age, physical and mental.
She just turned 15 in Luceti, and looks every bit like a normal, extremely fit fourteen-fifteen year old. She has a childlike excitement at things that can put her down to about 8 but then deals with some things at a maturity level that brings her up to around 30.

Race/species.
Human.

Height and weight.
She is 5'4, edging up to 5'5. She won't grow more than that, and she probably weighs in at around 130, all of that muscle.

Hair and eye color.
Her hair is very dark brown and her eyes are blue.

Clothing preference.
Blue. Other than that, she really doesn't think about it - whatever is practical.

Alignment, D&D-style.
Neutral Good. (Screw authority, if you're wrong, you're wrong.)

Everyone's special~

Innate supernatural powers.
She's a waterbender - this gives her the ability to manipulate water in various forms: density, temperature, pressure, and shape. Means jack if you're not trained in it though, and much of her childhood was a series of comical accidents as she attempted to practice.

“Artificially” gained abilities.
...do the Filial Spirits count? If so, Sona and Nala.

Non-magical skills.
'Extreme survivor,' befitting someone who grew up in one of the world's harshest climates and whose spent the past few months on a trek around the world. This includes your basic hunter/gather/find shelter applications. She's also got a decent amount of practical medical knowledge for things like... birthing babies. Also: sewing, cooking, tanning leather, storytelling, improvisational planning, reading, writing.

Three areas of expertise.
...the only thing Katara considers herself even close to being an 'expert' in is waterbending. So we have:
-Waterbending
-Lecturing
-Asking questions

Trained skills.
Oh gosh, bending is the largest and most immediate one of these. Add to that the few months of knife lessons with Hugo and Nami. Also cooking and basic medicine would go here.

Self-taught skills.
Bending also goes here to an extent - far before she had a waterbending master, Katara was trying to teach herself how to bend.

Languages spoken.
Whatever's standard in the Avatar universe.

Anything that doesn't fit.

Backstory!

Hometown.
Small, nameless village - the remains of the South Pole.

Country/nation.
Southern Watertribe.

Family.
Father: Hakoda; Mother: Kya (deceased); Older Brother: Sokka; Gran-Gran: ...Gran-Gran. And now that her waterbending master has married her Gran-Gran... Gramp-Gramp: Master Paku.

Two distinct childhood memories.
-The day her parents found out, and told her that she was a waterbender.
-When her mother told her to leave the tent and go find her father.

Something that marked the end of childhood.
Her mother's death.

Three defining events.
- If we're not counting her mother's death, then what goes here is her father taking all the men in the village and leaving.
- Finding Aang.
- Challenging Paku in order to make him teach her.

Greatest failure.
- Failure to protect Aang on two specific and painful occasions. Spoilers: When she fought Zuko at the end of season one, and he took Aang 'right out from under her.' And at the end of season two, when Zuko and Azula defeat them - Azula by shooting Aang in the back with lightning, which Katara feels that she could have stopped if she'd been looking out for her enemies instead of up at Aang.

Something you wish you had done or said.
- ...Katara doesn't really allow herself to indulge in these sort of thoughts.

Something you would take back.
...she might wish that she'd never learned bloodbending, but she wouldn't take it back. Katara doesn't do regrets.

Best-kept secret.
- Two of these. One: She's never told Sokka that the raid which came and killed their mother came for her. That she found out that their mom lied in order to protect her, told the soldier who came for her that she was the waterbender... and was killed for it. Only Zuko knows about this.
Two: Bloodbending.

Fondest memory.
- There were times when their family was whole and the village had actual houses and their mom would sing when she prepared dinner and their dad was home - she holds on to the memory of one of those normal dinners with all of her might.

Friends, enemies, etc.

Best friend.
In a way, it's Sokka. But she doesn't put him in a category - he's just Sokka. So then it would be Aang. Followed by Toph and Zuko.

Worst enemy.
Definitely Azula. In Luceti... I'm not sure if she has any personal enemies.

Most important person you've lost.
Her mom.

A non-relative you would consider family.
To one extent or another, their entire tribe is like a family. So that would be... the whole village. She adopted Aang into their family a week or so after meeting him, and considers Toph to be a member of the family as well. ...not Zuko, apparently. In Luceti, there's also Ginko and pretty much the entire Straw Hat Crew by association (love 'em all or not at all). I may be forgetting some people. This meme is long.

Someone you wrongly trusted.
Jet. Zuko. Hama.

Someone you never understood.
Katara might be prone to random flashes of insight, but understanding is very different than acceptance. She understands why her dad left, but she doesn't accept it. She accepts Toph picking her nose or her feet, but she doesn't understand it.

Someone whose trust you've broken.
...she can't think of anyone. Possibly Sokka's, when she stole that pirate scroll?

Newest friend.
...Hitsugaya? I think? In terms of 'most recent.'

Your boss or superior.
PFfffffffffffffffffffffbwahahahaha.

OK. Aang. Because he's the Avatar, she'll listen to what he says, even if she disagrees.

And if she's in a position where she needs to follow orders, she'll follow orders, if she has chosen to listen to you for whatever period of time that is, you lucky, lucky individual.

A subordinate.
Nope.

A crush.
She had a crush on Jet once. There's still remnants of that attraction, but she has since written off all such things as unimportant and secondary compared to The Goal.

An old flame.
Yeah - no.

Virtues and flaws

Strongest personality trait.
Dedication.

Weakest personality trait.
The need/feeling of 'always being right.'

A way you've grown.
She's had to face a lot of her issues of anger and betrayal and come to a place of peace with them, regarding the Fire Nation in general and Zuko in particular. She's learning to let go where it matters. Very, very slowly.

Oldest flaw.
Once her trust is broken... it's broken. She doesn't offer second chances very easily at all.

Most practical skill.
Bending.

Three positive words.
Compassionate, brave, smart.

Three negative words.
Obdurate, judgmental, naive. (Although she is getting that naivety beaten out of her.)

Most noticeable virtue.
Probably her empathy.

Most noticeable flaw.
...probably her bullheadedness.

This or that?

Day or night.
Night.

Optimism or pessimism.
Optimism.

Family or friends.
Both.

Leader or follower.
...err... it changes.

Crowds or small groups.
Crowds tend to overwhelm this Southern Watertribe girl.

Television or books.
Books.

Listener or talker.
Both, so much of both.

Magic or science.
...Katara doesn't see a difference. Every magic she's ever heard of has its own rules to follow, just like science.

Summer or winter.
Winter.

Trivia!

Religious views.
...the religious views of the Avatar world are somewhat... undefined. She believes in reincarnation, and reveres the spirits as part of their world, but there's no worship involved.

Favorite color.
The blue of twilight.

What you'd bring to a desert island.
...a boat with provisions for getting off it.

Whether you'd hit a girl.
Katara doesn't know why this is even a question.

Preferred type of music.
All of it that she's heard, she loves. Without exception.

Best vacation spot.
...not the desert Oasis, she'll tell you that much.

Three wishes.
- For everyone (except the bad guys) to Go Home Safely.
- To somehow be able to maintain the friendship's she's formed in Luceti from home.
- ...to quit seeing echoes/impressions of all the people that she misses.

OOC

Your reaction if you met this character.
O_O

Whether you would hug them.
Probably

How much you enjoy playing them.
More than I ever thought I would

Whether you would want to be them.
...hmm... maybe I could just be a waterbender instead. Because that would be totally awesome.

How you would see them - friend, enemy, crush, etc.
Friend! Young friend. But friend!

What you would have in common.
...general sense of identity, I guess.

What you would have to explain to them about the real world.
Probably everything. She asks a thousand questions.

Your ideal day spent with them.
Day. At. The BEACH.
