[As if it wasn't bad enough that she'd been spending the day before doing one of her least favorite chores from back - dressing and tanning game - Luceti had decided to play a little trick on Katara and turn her wings blood red. And then the sun didn't rise - or when it did... solar eclipses weren't supposed to last this long. They'd planned

I hope not. Sokka says that they don't really talk much. And San doesn't seem to have a problem eating them, so...
[SO SHE IS TRYING NOT TO THINK ABOUT IT.]

It probably wasn't. He wouldn't die that easily.
There's nothing wrong with eating them. Moro says it's okay as long as you only eat your fill and not anything more. San is just more used to this than we are. All the animals in her world are big and like to talk alot. [If Moro is any indication. Pretty sure he's heard her say she isn't the only god there at some point too, or atleast reference it maybe.]

[A pause there as she laughs lightly - shortly - at her own expense. Her tone keeps the same calm but perhaps drops the patronizing overtone... just a little. At least it cranked down. But now what stories does she even know...? She knows fairy tales and some ghost stories, but for tonight...]
Well... once in a land called Hawaii, there was a party coming up. All the little boys and girls in the village were preparing costumes for this party, because they knew that at the end of it there would be judging for the most original costume, the most colorful costume, and the best costume all around. The hero of our tale, Kawika, was a bright young boy who wanted to win one of those awards. All of his friends at school did too! But none of them would talk about what costume they were going to wear to the party, because they didn't want anyone to take their ideas.

She hesitates a long moment before walking over and silently sitting next to him. There's comfort in the familiarity of his presence, and small as the comfort may be in light of what's facing them, Katara will take what she can get and hope that her own presence provides the same. At least they're in this together.]

As for what to say? There isn't really anything. Saying that things will be better in the morning would be wishful thinking. More likely, it's going to get worse.]
