What's wrong with being devoted to someone?

As for my power, I was meant to protect Juudai. Always.

Devotion to someone? No, there's nothing wrong with that. It's when it gets too obsessive that it might become a problem to people.

What exactly are your powers?

What do you call obsessive? [Surely it can't be anything that Yubel would have experience with.]

I cannot be destroyed in battle and all the damage that would be inflicted on Juudai or myself is reflected to whoever attacks me.

...When the person you devote yourself to is the only thing in your life, to the point where it just becomes debilitating to you, or... to him, maybe.

[Yeah, you can see where she gets that from. It's not something she plans to talk about openly with a random person, though.]

That seems like a very normal world, then. It may be for the better.

I know it can't be a permanent, unavoidable thing. I've felt my future change before, and I know people have the power to reshape it the way they need to.

Not in a literal sense, but in retrospect, I realized it was a pivotal moment in my life, which could have gone many different ways, and set me on a few different paths, including the one I had been on for most of my life.

I'm... content with the way things turned out, though.

What do you mean "nature of powers"?

As in, why they're gone or do you mean how we got them in the first place?

More along the lines of how they behave, and what their purpose is. I don't know why they're gone, and it doesn't matter to me much... and how they were obtained is a different story.

I had a devil fruit. In my world there are cursed fruit that when you eat one you're cursed for life, but gain a power of the devil. Supposedly. You can never swim again, and people consider you monsters, but some pirates and most of the strong marines consider it well worth the risk.

Mine was a smoke logia type. I could turn into and control the element smoke. The pirate brat used to be made of rubber -- that was his power.
