I wish we had pictures of all these events, especially the trek around the block...

What, a thousand words wasn't good enough? You want a picture too?

Well of course I do. Especially if you were wearing lycra.

I rarely return things unless they are completely defective. Books that have bent corners or creased covers are fine by me as long as they are readable. Even scratched DVDs are acceptable as long as they play okay. I'm such a nice customer. :)

I'm like you. Can't justify spending $1,000 (or more) on some piece of fitness equipment that I might only use sporadically. We bought our bikes from PropertyRoom.com. According to a magazine article I read, this is where the police sell off unclaimed or unidentifed stolen items that have been recovered from thieves after they've been apprehended. However, we didn't have the bikes delivered, we drove out to one of their facilities in Farmingdale NY (about an hour away) to pick them up. Mine was only $8.00.

It's not a Trek or anything, but it does the job.

If it's any comfort to you, I wouldn't have sent the bike back either. That would involved a [potential] confrontation and way too much hassle. But then, no one said I was normal either.

Happy new year and good luck with your fitness regimen!

$8 for a like-new bike? That is a bargain. It's good to know I'm not the only oddball out there.
