Here we go again. The attic office project throws up more work by Bodge it & Scarper. This time it's the good old "Can't be bothered to take the light fitting down from the ceiling before skimming with plaster."
I had the same light fitting-shaped recess on my kitchen ceiling. It's now filled, ready to take the NEW longer tube batten, which the frankly rather undependable Dependable Trading assure me will arrive any month now.
It's comforting that I'm not the only one to suffer ceiling fossil.
And... the priest hole doesn't draw attention to its self by having a frame around it. Come to think of it the priest hole was a thing of the past, even in 1898.
