So, a friend posted on her journal that she might consider starting a business. That got me thinking about what might be an enjoyable business to create

We had a great coffee place like that near JMU. It is an ideal set-up for a small college town, because you get students all hours of the day and night. Students might not have a lot of money, but they also hate to cook, so they will eat out a lot if you have reasonable prices. And then they were in the town square area, so I am sure they got a lot of business people stopping by for sandwiches at lunchtime.
Am I the only one who read that as "Chick fil a Tuesdays"? I was like, "yum!" ha ha
Owning a business like that is usually more work than it is worth though, but it sure does sound cool.
Your idea qualifies as more of a "large business" idea, complete with converted warehouse arena and significantly more ambition. Not that that's a bad thing, I just got onto the cafe idea because I was thinking of what kind of small business Amy and Nate might consider opening.
Although, Chik Fil A Tuesday.... you might be onto something. Could I recruit you as our weekly New Jersey bird-meat and waffle fry importer?
A woman I know once said "owning a business like that is usually more work than it is worth", and I agree. I'm not looking to own a cafe. But there could be worse fates.
CouchGoalie82 (8:51:10 PM): so maybe your and my small business ideas could be combined? TheReturnOfMark (9:03:12 PM): Well, I don't actually have a burning desire to own a cafe TheReturnOfMark (9:07:13 PM): But I AM entertained TheReturnOfMark (9:07:31 PM): by the idea of people running around with scalding hot coffee in one hand and airsoft guns in the other. CouchGoalie82 (9:07:42 PM): ahahahahaha
OO! OO! Can I work there? I am great with simple cash registers and I love to see people! Seriously, working snack bar at the ski-lodge was the greatest thing in the world!
And I like to work relatively long days! Pleeeeeeeeeeese! *puppy eyes*
Dear goodness love, no one would ever play scrabble. A dollar per letter? That's crazy talk. You should make it $0.75 a letter. That way, you still make a considerable amount of money and you perturb people by making it harder to figure out how much to pay. Goodness, I sound like Faye right then. Anyway airsoft guns + coffee = fun to watch but painful to play! Maybe you should set up a MythBusters-esque blast shield for teh spectators.
