Yup. She's got a pair of huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge hearing aids.

Actually, her hearing (which was always pretty bad) crapped out on her totally a couple of years ago, when she was 24 or so. So now she has a cochlear implant and no hearing aids, and hears better than ever before. Modern-day miracle of science!

Just crossing my fingers that it'll never happen to me.
