Good guys fall for the not so good guy in hopes (futile at best) of changing them for the better, discovering the diamond in the rough, awakening the prince charming in the frog... And while some people do manage to help out this "not so good guys" to become the best they can be. For the most of us, its just not gonna work that way, and thus you end up brokenhearted.
