Dark and angry, but with this gorgeous sense of resignation and faith that nature prevails. We've all known these creatures. That's been one of the most mesmerizing aspects of your poetry this season, alongside the intense visual aspect - the relatableness that shouldn't be such an integral part of lyricism and symbolic imagery and yet it is!
In all seriousness, though, wow. I could feel the weight of the final stanza pulling me down, as the predators climb up toward the unaware prey. I could feel that anger from a long time of attempting to exist alongside this wretched bird, the way even the very first line begs to be spat out with disdain. But at the same time, it's like coming at someone with a knife made of gold and adorned with precious jewels; deeply cutting but absolutely exquisite.
