Some days he thinks he's Humphrey Bogart.
I have to say straight off that I have often thought that without Bogart there would never be a Greg House. Secondly, I'm a huge fan of both Bogart and Laurie. I loved this story. The idea is fresh, original, and it works.
They both say the famous lines along with Bogie. In all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, she had to walk into mine. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon and for the rest of your life.
I can picture this so clearly -- them saying the lines along with Bogie.

I love the way they tossed lines back and forth. I've never seen any Bogie movies (now I really want to), but again the pace and ease with which they seemed to enjoy watching and talking about the movies gave the story a calming effect.
The little things - him loving her barefoot - were beautiful details. I liked getting inside House's head from the outside - in the way you used 3rd person. Him kissing her in the kitchen - *melts*. Him saying "We'll always have Paris" and kissing her again was beautiful. The scenes felt so peaceful, calm, easy.
This is probably one of the most gorgeous fics I've ever read. Simply beautiful!
