I say good luck to them. If anyone is that determined to steal a broken piece of crap that's ridiculously heavy and saves me having to pay for it to be taken away, then I'm all for the thieving little scrotes. If they could also nick the mouldy mattress the neighbours have left rotting down the side of the house I'd be incredibly grateful.
