Ok, I haven't updated in a long time... but I thought this warranted an update *_* One of my friends from college+ is now pregnant!?! And who's pregnant? No, not the recently married Erin... Oh wow, that's different. ...though, not the first of my college acquaintances to have a baby. Hm. Scary thought. Yoko will get married though, right? Just not have a ceremony/reception? ...and was it planned? Kids are an incredible commitment...for the next 20+ years. Yikes.

But if she's happy, I'm happy for her. =)

Right, she'll get married but they haven't decided if their will be a ceremony yet. The parents are going to get together in July and decide (since they'll probably be paying for most of it). Nope, not planned. She said it surprised her too and she still isn't quite sure how to feel about it. After talking with her I thought suggesting abortion might have been an idea (since she seemed so undecided about it) but she was talking about the baby being 2+ and coming to America again and abortion is pretty much taboo in Japan so she's definitely going to have the baby ( ... )

Wow, didn't see that one coming! So who is this guy? You said she was dating someone else the last time you saw her. Do you know when she started going out with this guy? I'm glad she seems happy :) I'll of course want to see pictures of the baby if she sends them to you.

I know, neither did I... The guy is someone she used to work with at the clothing store she's been at for about 3 years now. He's younger (22, she's 24 now) and they started going out in September... not even a year ^^; Pretty sure I've never met him. The guy she was dating before was older and was a truck delivery guy.

Apparently they're getting married tomorrow but still haven't decided about a ceremony for later -_-

I'll let her know that you'd like pictures of the baby~ It's not due until January though.
