“My little ermine.” OMG so sweet...Can I hugh her??? Can I? Please?? I don´t like the name Rose, but it sounds better in english than spanish. What´s the meaning of the name Ermengarde??

You can hug her! :D

Well, I didn't really choose Ermengarde for its meaning so much as the ermine thing, but it seems to mean "universal, whole." Uh...?

How do you say Rose in Spanish? Rosa?

LOL! I've actually liked the name Ermengarde (for characters, I never considered naming my daughter that) for a coupld of decades, now. And, at least one of my D&D characters, a cleric, went by that name.

Really good chapter, even if it is too short...*G*

Too short? Pshaw. ;)

It's definitely not a common name these days. It's starting to grow on me, but I think I prefer it for a character than a daughter, too.

“Should we call her Vicky or Toire?”
Sadly, this was one of my first thoughts when I learned that kid's name in DH. XD

After, "Oh, come ON, Rowling; we're not DENSE" and all. XD

He wondered if the house-elves would be willing to give him something alcoholic at half-past eight in the morning.
Probably had better odds back before Winky was sober. :|

...have I ever mentioned that I make tactless jokes to dispel tension? >_>

Dumbledore’s portrait was looking at him, judging him, most likely pitying him, and probably doing that twinkly eyes thing.
YES. I guarantee it. XD

ERMENGARDE? I knew Pansy was a flipping lunatic, but... uh... maybe it'll grow on them?

And it does have a ring of "Hermione," I suppose? And Ermengarde Rose does have a nice progression, so... I think I'll survive. 8D

Naw, I was totally thinking of Winky, too. XD

I half-considered having Ermengarde be Amorell's first name, but then it would lose some of its appeal in the whole Weasel-Ferret-Ermine triangle.

You know, I wasn't sure how I felt about Hermione mothering a child that was not her own. I had thought, what would happen when they finally had children of their own? Would Pansy's child be slighted, would it take away from the experience of having her own since she was already taking care of Ermine, and even more so, I was blinded by the fact that I do not like the Pansy in this story. But now, I concede that I am okay with this. Even though she is Pansy's blood, this little girl will be extremely loved and well taken care of. It will be good for both Hermione and Draco in the long run, so I am content now ( ... )

:) I'm glad the idea grew on you. I think I took a bit of a risk adding that element to the story, so it's good to know it wasn't a bad risk to take.

Ha, got the tongue-roll approval. :D

I'm not sure yet. I'll give it some thought.

Thanks,
Marm
