Picspam of Harlaxton/ Musings on London Expo
Hey, flist. Since the last time I posted, school finished, I moved back to Texas for a week, and then I came here. And where is here, you say?Why, just outside Grantham, Lincolnshire, in a place called Harlaxton Manor. My school owns this place (that's right, bitches), and so we can come over here during the semester and it costs the same as going in Evansville. Unfortunately, it is not the regular semester, so this is costing me out the ass.
If you're not familiar with it, the place looks like this:

This morning, I woke up at like 5:30 and went for a walk all around the grounds. I came back in for breakfast at 7:15, and then I explored inside for awhile. Where I discovered some truly weird things. The British are freaks.
This has to be the smallest bathroom ever, outside of planes and trains and whatnot.
I have no idea what the eff is going on here, but it's right next to the Great Hall, so it must be important.
I like this shower stall because it makes me feel mildly unsafe. Not only do I get a step in the middle of the floor, I get a radiator too! How lucky!
This is my area. It's at the end of a hall, near a staircase, and no one comes up here because it's at the very top. I will fight people to the death for this spot, it has great views and probably the best couch in the place.
And, since it's a manor and all that, I should probably include a few photos of fancy rooms and baroque architecture and whatnot:

Okay, picspam is over. Now, on a slightly less self-indulgent note: I might be going to the London MCM Expo next weekend! It turns out I'm in town all weekend, and you know I can't resist our boys. kathkinand I are planning to meet up, along with like a bagillion other people, and I will do my best to be an obnoxious, loud American fangirl. It's not like that's hard or anything XD
Anyway, I'm trying to go to both the panel and the autograph session, but tickets for autographs are super hard to get and are first come first served. I want to be first, of course. roflolmaomghas already suggested that I get the boys to sign to Ceiling Gaius, and I think that's a brilliant idea.
So, what's everyone else been up to? I'd like to hear how y'all's summers are going, and I'm kinda getting tired of tooting my own horn.
