What do 68% of Canadians Believe?

Dec 04, 2008 20:25

That Harpers request to prorogue Parliament was a good thing.

What to 72% Think? That the coalition is a bad thing.

What is the % of people that would vote for the Conservatives if an election was held today? 46%, 9% higher than 7 weeks ago and well into a strong majority territory.

From what I hear a bunch of Liberal and NDP supporters want to change their votes.

I think what we really need to realize is that NOBODY has a mandate to govern. Canadians don't want ANY party in power. We want people to do their fucking job and represent their constituencies as equal members of a house based on consensus and fair weighing of different regional interests. I propose we just let the house sit as a bunch of independents, with no "government" "cabinet" or "prime minister" - let the house elect from among its membership, by majority vote, ministers for each portfolio, and do away with the nonsensical position of "prime minister" once and for all. Seriously - we pay these fucktards enough - let them do their jobs instead of constantly fighting for position in a game of false dichotomies.

But then, what would they have to prattle on about on the national.

also, this poll just proves my thesis that 68% of Canadians are idiots.

As much as I agree with this idea, this is basically how things work but there are groups of MP's that get elected because they say they will support a certain MP and then support his/her choices for cabinet portfolios.

Which is idiocy. Why trust one person to be better at it than the whole elected body working in concert? What is this, the dark ages?
