Black Pepper Tapioca

I'm writing this recipe here for my own reference, as well as your delectation. It's my patented BLACK PEPPER TAPIOCA PUDDING and it's Da Bämbuhz.

  • INGREDIENTS:
  • 3 c. milk (I use 2%-right consistency, but not super-fatty)
  • ½ c. pearl tapioca (not the tiny kind, but not the enormous-huge kind - see below pic.)
  • 2 egg yolks, lightly beaten
  • ½ tsp. salt

cooking, tapioca

can't eat that shit, no matter HOW much pepper you put in. My mom served it to us as children, and told us it was 'giggle-fish eggs'. The minute we put some in our mouths we'd start laughing until we literally peed in our chairs. Then (as I remember) we'd fling it at each other. It grosses me out past the point of rescue, though (oddly enough) I'm quite fond of all sorts of REAL caviar, including the big orange salmon eggs, which by all rights ought to have the same effect on me. Go figure.

I tried your lasagne recipe last year and it was the best lasagne ever! I'll definitely be trying this recipe.
