Butter Side Up

I find it hard to believe, but these days my wife and I are using butter instead of margarine, because it's cheaper!

In the past 8-years, the price of a one pint tub of Golden Soft margarine has gone up 292%, from $0.89 to $2.59! They initially claimed higher gas prices for the increases, but we have gas locally at $1.87 per gallon right now - if ( Read more... )

Yep. Noticed the same thing myself a while back. I was a Golden Soft man myself. I've now switched to whatever the Dollar Store is selling, and that happens to now be Blue Bonnet and Land o'Lakes. For a buck.
