Well, I now know what inspired the 'chuck' in Chuck E. CheeseMy youngest nephew turned 3 today, and my sister let him pick where he'd like to go for dinner. My sister then apologized to all 14 of the invited adults who had to endure the sadistic mouse factory of pseudo-pizza and noise. I mean, the pizza crust was actually sweet! That's an improvement. When I hung out at Chuck E Cheese's back in the 80's, the pizza tasted like cardboard.

But it was still edible -- kinda -- and the main reason my friends and I hung out there was for the video games, and because it was next door to a Putt-Putt Miniature Golf course -- which also had video games.

Many a quarter gave up its fiduciary in our endless quest for video games and cheap, barely edible pizza.

And then there's a completely different kind of Chuck! :)

I remember those days of trying to squeeze all the entertainment and eats out of every dollar! Thankfully, I can afford to be a little more picky these days. Well, at least a little more... Though, that doesn't guarantee that my tastes are all that improved!

If I ever have to go back to a Chuck E. Cheese again, it'll be 50-billion years too soon!

Which, coincidentaly, is the approximate half-life their pizza.
