this is a question maybe to those of you who've been married longer..

my husband and i have been married for almost 3 years. i feel like we're both over involved in our jobs (i've told him this) and that i think we're overscheduled. he can't really help his work situation now though.

I just posted a topic about marriage on my journal. You know this is very familiar to so many couples, young couples, old couples...routine gets to you and suddenly you`re talking more about bills and everyone`s life but yours. The one secret for marriage is not to forget the reason you`re together, and it is ultimately to make each other happy. I know the responsabilities of your jobs and the house and the bills seem important, and they are, obviously you must pay them and you must work...but what`s more important is your relationship and your individual happiness, which you build together to keep together ( ... )

hey, thanks for your response. i'm puzzled as to why i didn't get one of those LJ notices in my e-mail or i would've replied sooner!

yes, i think a date night would be in order. it seems like i'm good at coming up with excuses not to dine out or see a movie due to money but i'm starting to think.. how can we afford not to?
