Someone help me out here.
Last night I started getting hives. Today I can barely walk because the allergic reaction is affecting the tendons in my heels...my left heel is swollen and both are sore. Not to mention I have about 20-30 hives on the rest of my body.

What'd you eat? or were you bit by a bug you're allergic to? Benadryl can help, the liquid stuff would work fastest, but I'd go to the Doc if I were you, emergency room if you can't get to your regular doc.

And second, have you ever had the reaction before?
For a quick fix, take a good over the counter antihistamine. If you want the good ol stuff try Benadryl. But if you want the newer 24-hour non-drowsy ones try Alavert or Claritin.
If need-be and they dont help and the reaction lasts more than a day, go see a doctor because you may have a case of severe hives, which can simply be treated with a shot, or pill form, of epinephrine.
Lotions, moisterizers, and other skin products wont get rid of the hives. Heat can cause the hives to itch and burn, more if not already, so avoid hot baths and long exposure to the sun (including tanning beds) Take a cold shower to subdue the itching.

I took an oatmeal bath tonight that helped for about 5 minutes after the 25 minutes I spent in the tub...
It's so hard to NOT dig and dig, but I can't get an appointment to see the doctor tomorrow...at least, all the ones that are available are inconvenient. So I think I'm just going to have to go to the E.R. tomorrow.
I have no idea what caused them other than I had a big midterm this morning and I wound up staying up until 4 AM to study. It was quite stressful and I bet that's what caused it because I was fine until I started studying last night.
Egads...I've never had hives before.
