Phew! You had me all worried there for a minute until Booth pulled back. I was seriously sitting here going "no, Booth, don't do it! Don't be an idiot!"

Love the backstory we finally get between Booth and Candy. Great chapter all around.

Yea! That's the reaction I wanted people to have. Phew! I was afraid people would feel ripped in the end.

Glad you're enjoying it. It's was actually kind of fun to write.

Glad that Booth was able to pull back at the last minute and not even necessarily because of Brennan. He's already been down this road and he knows it's only going to lead to pain.

Interesting backstory to Candy and very plausible although who would leave Booth? I mean really?

Then the feelings run high and you put them in an extremely emotional situation so easy to ignite physically. I literally was holding my breath but screaming in my head - Noooooooooooooooo!

*blows out a breath* Close call... And I agree with another commenter that this is just a poor choice for him to make considering their history, his obviously unresolved feelings for Bones notwithstanding.

Nicely done.

I couldn't leave Booth... EVER!

I am totally enjoying that everyone was screaming "No"... that part made me a bit nervous. Didn't want everyone to be a frustrated as Candy.
