a morbid, but amusing thought

So this week, I witnessed a will in my dad's office. Among the paperwork were the instructions for what to do with you remains - there were options for the folks to choose and one of them was donating your body to science. I think this is a great thing to do, because you help new doctors learn and other scientists do experiments, generally ( Read more... )

I not only want to be donated to science, I want to be donated to the forensics rotting fields, so I can rot. :)

And I still want my "Attention" tattoo, which would also work in this instance.

Which tattoo is this? Also is there anyway I can donate my body to antropology or do they collect it in 2000 years regardless?

It's perty simple, actually. I want a tattoo that says "Attention." As in, pay attention. Look around. Think. Notice. Grok.

The idea is from the book "Island," by Aldous Huxley. Argueably one of his suckiest books, but with some important ideas and thoughts. Not the least that on the utopia island where it takes place there is a parrot that flies everywhere saying "attention, boys," to remind everyone to be in the moment.

So, I want that and I want the KOL cake icon on the thick pad of my thumb on my palm. I'll likely get that one first, as I know precisely what it should look like, and where it should go, and I'm still working that out with the "attention" one.

A handy dandy diagram of the major organs in their correct locations. Also the autopsy incision line drawn in the correct location with the "cut along line".
