[Written in the morning, some hours before Memory Blank starts.]

Yesterday I saw that someone had written "May the Fourth Be With You" outside of our house. Nice pun on the date. Today it's been covered up by the third "Nooooooo" I've seen this month.

Whoever's been scrawling "I have a bad feeling about this" had better catch up again.

[There's a ( Read more... )

May the Fourth--Oh! Force. Ha I get it.

NOOOOOOOOOOO! Makes me laugh. As does the endless Troll faces.

[This whole post was one big ping but that one is a dozy]

Twin sister. ...Somehow I've always known.

It doesn't strike me as particularly funny. Do you mind killing the joke?

Troll faces. I assume you mean the more detailed ones.

[Ben's been getting pings often enough that he's closed down his sense of pain. So it feels strange, but he doesn't let it hurt.]

Have you? [pause] You did wonder if I had a twin, once.

Jedi-friend, if I could remember why NOOO in all caps was funny I'd be able to kill the joke. But it's like remembering the punchline without anything else.

That's how it is, then.

Hmm. Why do you call it that?

Do you know anything else about her? [pause] Does she have green eyes?

[ Ben could be using Skywalker's journal. But then Skywalker wouldn't be writing this, and it needs to happen: ]

I HAVE "DOOMED" WRITTEN ALL OVER ME.

That sounds like something Philosopher would write. It happened while you were shut down for the night, I guess?

I hope it's water-soluble. If not, we can go looking for some other solvent.

It wasn't me. This graffiti is quite uncouth.

I know it wasn't you, Philosopher.

It's good to remember things about your family. Was it also a happy memory?

[curlicue doodle.]

I hope Paladin is okay too.

It is. It was... a strange memory. A little sad. A little frightening. But I'm happy to have seen it.

His was terrible. I hope Reed can help him.

Just fine.

[pause]

I haven't seen him, either. [Not that he's looked for him at all. >_>]

That's good. [Ben doesn't read the journals, so...] I'm guessing you're Rain?

It's been six days now.

Yes.

I'm sure he's around. Probably just keeping to himself.

He hasn't come to work.

I hope the elevator didn't take him again.

I do not see how it is a pun. Yet the phrase about a bad feeling is strangely familiar.

It is good that you remember more of your true family. I only hope the memories are not too painful.

The date was May 4. [Is he going to explain i... yes, yes he is.]

'May' is a verb as well as one of the months they use here. 'Fourth' can sound a little like 'Force'. Some people state the date month-followed-by-day - so it's May the Fourth.

It's a saying. I don't think I've heard anyone say it yet, but I have the feeling it was said a lot around me.

Thank you, Brianna. Painful or not... I do want to know.

[SHE NEEDS THE EXPLANATION... and now she gets it.

But she still doesn't think it's funny.]

I see. I prefer the normal version to the pun.

Yes. Our pasts are important, whatever sadness they may hold.

It's not one I've heard before. This calendar isn't familiar to me.

By the way... I've seen your lightsaber. Thank you again for showing it to me.

Do you have much experience with deflecting projectiles with it? I have an idea.
