Eeee! And me computerless for a month as of Friday!
Oh, but poor Nagi, worried about his parents. At least Micah's out of the loop too. I am dreadfully curious to see where the action goes (Nagi's plan! Nagi's plan! Whatever could it be?). Also, the break-down of the power structure is rather distressing. I'll be a wreck by the time I get back, just you wait.
My WK is here! i haven't had a chance to watch it yet, but the anticipation of this is also killing me. ~ suspense be damned
Hee! You'll just have to imagine more and more complicated things Nagi might be doing! Micah and the others are preparing to sell their lives bravely - or, more to the point, to kill as many Martians as it takes for the rest of them to give up and go home. Crawford's planning on having stern words with Nagi, assuming he's alive to do so.
Eee. The first episode is rather unlike the rest, just to warn you. And surprisingly it mainly features Weiss rather than Schwarz :-) Is it the dubbed or subbed version? I've only seen it with (very odd) subtitles, and I hear Farfarello doesn't have a sense of humour in the dubbed version - he's very funny in the subtitled one!
Oh, and can I have the link for your latest chapter of the original fic? I foolishly lost it!
Yes, the Victorian notions of noble self-sacrafice seem to warp a bit when they encounter our nefarious protagonists.
...assuming he's alive to do so.
Eep! I would certainly like to assume he is, along with everyone else excluding Micah
I've gathered that, and come across enough Weiss or Weiss/Schwarz fic that it shan't be a total shock. Not quite sure which version it is; if I have any wonky subtitles or dubbing, I'd be estatic to share it with the world at large.
^^ No problem: here. I'm editing the next chapter. Hopefully, I'll have it up before I leave. There're a few other WiPs on that journal; feel free to poke around if you like.
Also: fweee, action sequence! And Farfarello is great with his sensible thinking and his sense of humour while everyone else is knotting themselves up with worry. Schuldig is so sweet and vulnerable when he's pretending really hard not to be. Loved the arms-dealing conversation - says so much in terms of both characterisation and setting in so little space.
*rubs hands together in best melodramatic fashion*
*twirls impressively waxed moustache*
Farfarello's sometimes glad that romance is a mystery to him. There's enough to worry about in their everyday lives without that sort of emotional complication!
Schuldig's going to kill every last one of those Martian bastards before they can so much as lay one six-fingered hand on his beloved team leader.
*Schwarz and Martians take a friendly cigarette break before resuming positions*
I'm woefully behind on my Saiyuki reading - Hazel's the guy who raises people from the dead, right? And is a Catholic (like Hakkai, hee!) who wears a nightdress?
"Perhaps Crawford or Farfarello can help me make him gay once again."
...
*laughs* You know, it's an odd quality of your style in this work that I am simultaneously touched by Nagi's concern (clearly things must be dire if Schuldig has ceased to be gay!) and chortling over the phraseology and its sadly predictable effect on my thoughts.
Still, your portrayal of Our Fine Young Hero is charming and oddly realistic - just enough selfishness to be genuine as a child, but just enough perception to highlight the fact that he's not stupid, merely a little innocent (well, for one who's running in the company of grave-robbing assassins) - and dear Mercy how wrong that sentance would be were I to say it anywhere else... XD
I just really really really hope that his Plan isn't the very thing that brings Crawford's dire predictions to fruition. *bites nails in anticipation*
Oh, if only Mr Fenn knew what he hath wrought! Maybe he does. I'm sure Heaven has broadband.
Innocent!Nagi is such a pleasure to write (yes, well. RelativelyInnocent!Nagi, as you say . . !) Ah, Fenndom, where everyone is untouched by the troubling knowledge of sex. As Nagi could tell you, Schuldig and Crawford may hold hands a lot, but that's all they do. (Crawford: Get him out of our bed, Schuldig. Before I explode.)
I just really really really hope that his Plan isn't the very thing that brings Crawford's dire predictions to fruition.
That is the sort of circumstance that traditionally brings down those who make or rely on prophecies . . .
*bites her nails anxiously* Well, perhaps his brilliant Plan can be the very thing which begins to fulfil Crawford's dire vision, by resulting in Micah's painful and humiliating demise at the hands of the native savages, and then they can turn it all around?

Thought! Micah reminds me of Hazel from Saiyuki.

Micah: *looks confused and a little hurt*
Nagi's plan is no doubt the best that a boy untrained in tactics can think of . . .
