Nintendo is slow to adopt network and internet stuff, they always have been.. It'd be nice if they would start catching up, but I suspect that if they went totally online it'd cause a shitstorm like when people were accusing the DS of letting pedophiles stalk your kid. Because it has chat within a 20 ft radius. ... yeah.
