I guess a lot of us have been looking at "what use to be". Its odd because we have all been doing it a lot lately. I think part of it is the passing of Dennis' Mother. I am only an hour away from Dennis and why has it been two years since I have seen him last? Even so, I still keep in contact with him via instant messaged, MySpace, on here ( Read more... )

I can still remember the day I ran outside of Bob's and was like, OMG Marsh! Is that you?!?! And here I am quite a few years later and there you were...at my moms funeral, representing those that couldn't be there. I am honored that you were there, I am touched by our friendship. It has been years in the making. I am at a total loss for words right now, between the pain that I feel, but yet the joy that I feel in reliving some of our greatest achievments as a board. Thank you for being there...I love you.

Marsh I think that might have been your longest journal entry ever! Look at you posting like a mad woman on LJ! :) It's been so weird, so many of my friends have been reflecting back on their pasts lately, I dunno why but it's just really odd. :)

Reading through that just made me think back on the last couple of years and in particular the time spent at CB.com. While I was never really a big part of the site everyone there was really important to me and helped me to get to where I am at now. Without the support of the people there I probably wouldn't be here today, and I mean that. It's kind of sad that we don't have that link anymore, mostly because I never really get to talk to any of you anymore, but I'm glad at least for the time that I did have. I MISS YOU GUYS!

Yes, I have been refered to as a mad woman more than once haha. :) We will always be connected in some sort of way, to me, today was an example of that :)

Dennis,
Even reading that reply brings tears to my eyes. You were AMAZING today, I can't express that any differently. Your an inspiration to me :) Im glad I went and saw the strength you had. I remember that day fondly :) You came up to me like I knew you forever haha. Again anything you need please let me know :)

Yeah Marsh I think you NAILED it on the head about why we have been reminiscing so much this week. I told Jason the very same thing in my thread about it. It is because we all love Dennis, are all still feeling his pain... some of us absolutely kicking ourselves for NOT having that financial luxury to just book a flight and be there for our friend (believe me when I say that if I had the geeters, I woulda been there in a heartbeat)... and this kind of thing (either weddings or funerals) sadly bring friends that have drifted apart somewhat closer together ( ... )

Yeah I think that is why I have been thinking about it a lot lately, as well as everyone else who have been posting about it. I don't know about a Las Vegas get together this year, the whole plane thing, yes but all my vacation days for this year are booked up, considering I took two this week for my sox game and a benefit tonight for a little boy with a neurlogical disease :( Anyways next year I get a third week of vacation b/c I have been there for five years, after September but I don't know if I get the extra week from sept, to december or the next calander year. Plus im applying to Grad school which I need to get going on!!!
