heather!! im devistated, considering i saw you like, 5hrs before it happened!!! okay. i know im always offering my advice, and im sorry for butting in all the time, but its what i do. and ive been thinking a lot about this, because i read it the other day, and i just didnt know what to say...but now i know what i have to say. when youre with someone you love, and they love you, you feel safe. and if youre in a situation where youre not safe, the person who loves you reassures your safeness. derek's stepdad threw a door at you. that is NOT okay, and you were NOT safe, and derek should have NEVER put you in that position. if he knows his dad is like that, then he should have not only warned you about his dad's drunken attitude, but kept you as far from his dad as possible. dereks drunkeness is not an excuse. you may love derek, and you may want to be with him, but also consider: do you want to be with him, or do you want the idea of being with him? think about it, kay?? i love you so much, and be careful, and im glad paul was there to
