Writing, my other LJ

I just finished two stories today that were in the tweaking pile. Short stories #98 and #99. I guess I'm keeping count so I'll know when I get to the three digit #100. One is SF/horror and so creepy it kinda freaks me out. The other's a modern-day high fantasy, trolls and goblins with wristwatches and TVs and bad breath, etc.

Thanks, Jon! I'll be sure an let everyone know on the other LJ when I hit it. It shouldn't be that big of a deal, but in my bio over the last couple of years I've been saying I've written over 80 stories. And then over 90 stories. Soon I can say I've written over 100 stories and leave it at that. *hehe*

Thanks! There was a time when I put my bio up at The Fix that I said I'd written over 80 stories, when I'd actually only written 79 but I didn't want to have to have Eugie change it later. And it wasn't really a lie but a "truth told in advance." But with 100 I'm going to wait until I'm really there. ;-)

Thanks, Sophy. I'll mention this again when I hit 500. I should still be blogging from the old writers home by then, I hope. '-)

I suppose it'll take a month or two for you to get to 500.

Yeah, I could do that...if I wrote all twitter stories of 140 character or less.

In November 2004 I started what I called The Short Story Push. I was at #35 then. So that's 64 stories in 4 1/2 years. 14.22 stories a year. Gee, at that rate it'll take me 28 years to get to 500. I'll be 80. Shit!

Congrats! And congrats againg for 100.

You could always make three hundred the next high mark. In baseball Randy Johnson just got his 300th win. Not many pictures get that.

Thanks, A.R. Question, my new friend. I'm rather big on names. Using them, knowing them. May I ask what you like to go by? Mine's easy. Initials are tough.

Both those stories sound fantastic. Now go make no. 100 the best ever.

Thanks, Cate. Actually you see the method to my madness. #100 can't just be a flash piece I crank out, it needs to be special in some way. So that's the plan.
