Clara Bow in the icon here was the first "it" girl, and arguably Marilyn Monroe was the last. Last as in one movie star who stood out above the rest for her time. Nowadays they seem to be churning out the next starlet with a shelf life of 18 months in droves. Don't know why I'm saying this except this it's a lose theme to my icons. *g*
