I tend to do that a good number of times. I call it disciplinary action .

But aren't we supposed to be mean to our characters, push 'em out of their comfort zone? This sounds like a win-win for us writers!

Yes we are! But I think they might get accustom to hanging from a dungeon wall after a while and need to experience other forms of excruiating torture. *g*
