Okay I'm so confused now.  Apparently I don't have to get a job this summer according to my dad but my mom still thinks I should.  What the hell is going on

I might start summer school, do a class, only because it would mean that I'd be closer to graduating in 4 years for my undergrad degree.

But I'm very conflicted because it is my last real summer and summer school would take away from it.
