Veronica woke up in Town Hall with everyone else. In the chaos, she slipped away without talking to anyone and made a beeline for her apartment.

After a long shower, she made some tea, added a healthy shot of whiskey and sent a quick email to anyone who might have been worried about her.

As soon as Piper got the message, she picked up her cellphone to call instead of respond to the email. And if Veronica did not want to talk, she was at least going to leave a voice message.

Veronica whimpered when the phone rang, but she knew enough to know that Piper wouldn't give up until they talked.

"Hi. Is Angel awake?"

Tim got off the phone himself, and finally came out into the living room. He had a need to watch some just completely ridiculous comedy. On TV he found a show called Scientific Explanation. Problem solved.

The lag time between Veronica reading Marty's email and responding to it had nothing to do with the tears in her eyes over his alternate self's death. Really.
