Only thing I can notice right now, but I finally figured it out, is I think your icons might come out smoother if you saved them in .png rather than .jpg? They tend to look a bit grainy to me (especially in #7) and maybe that's why. In other news though I really like how experimental you are with your cropping!

I'll definitely have to try that, because they do come out grainy and it drives me insane. I always thought it was because I was over sharpening them, but couldn't tell in photoshop. Thanks for the tip! I'll try it out next time I make icons.

The first one is a little washed out; maybe just a little more contrast would help. And possibly some sharpening.

I can't really tell what's going on in the fifth one; the texture (I assume) that you used over the people makes it a little hard to see.

The white text on the seventh is hard to read; adding more of a border around it may have helped.

The texture on the eighth is strange; I can't tell if it's supposed to be a C or a hook.

But, of course, your icons are still gorgeous.

lmao v. specific, thank you! Yeah I got a new graphics card and I swear things look a little brighter now, but it could also just be my mind playing tricks on me. Either way when I can never tell how bright is too bright so that's very helpful. And it's actually a G! ♥

I try to be! And you're welcome. :) I hate that - stuff on my computer here at home looks darker than on the computer at work, but I think it's the angle of my monitors. That would make more sense! &hearts

In the third one, the crops a bit weird. (IDK, I hate cropping off eyes, eyebrows, and chins.)

I relaly like 5 and 7. The coloring in 8 is nice. I also love the coloring in 9. some of your cropping seems a bit awkward in 3 and 5 mostly (even though I love the coloring in 5). I don't really like the texture in 6, but that's probably just personal preference.

The colouring looks a bit washed out - more contrast might help, or adding a hint of blue? I'm not sure, it's just all very very yellow and white to me. I can't really tell at all what's going in four due to the cap choice and blurriness (but I'm gonna guess Lady Gaga, lol), and I think some of them (eight especially) might benefit from a bit more sharpening. :)

I love your icons, even though I've never been found of blue-ish colouring.
Maybe you could try textures of something?
