i just spent about a half hour scraping the old bbq down for use tonight. It's been a little while since it's been scraped this well. my hands hurt from holding the scraper...

In other news, in 4 days I'll be supping in Chicago. :)

no joke, I was moaning about how bad my hands hurt from scraping the bbq. It had to be scraped, because of the sandstorm from Friday through last night. I need to vacuum the window sills now.

The BBQ didn't catch fire, the steak and asparagus came out awesome.

And Saturday my flight to Chicago leaves just before noon...

Manolo just a got a new classic Weber...he's been wanting one forever, just a simple Weber kettle grill like my dad always had. He'd better learn to scrape it well because damn they're expensive here. But he's happy now.
