I don't have an Iphone, or any smart anything, but I have noticed ALL of what you mentioned in media devices for the PC that play music. I remember once upon a time you could download and create as many playlists that you wanted, and could choose and play them. I stopped listening to music on the computer when I lost the ability to easily do that. And I think we all know that it takes simplicity for me to be able to do anything using technology.

I know a lot of folks feel that way - and I also know that for a while iTunes was /good/ at making improvised playlists based on one song. That was really the one thing it was good at. Well.. they "fixed" that too! lol.

"fixed" is an extremely subjective idea it seems.

Winamp. Geordie can tell you more about it, although he doesn't use playlists. I do and I use it to manage my Original Style iPod and it's great.

I used to use winamp "back in the day". I tried (something)monkey, but it wanted to hijack my music. Does winamp work with iPhones? :)

I used to like winamp a lot, but it started crashing my previous laptop (7 or so years ago) so I stopped using it.

I'll have to see if they have an iphone app...

When we see you guys next summer talk to Manolo about Itunes...he is so mad about the complicated stupidity they've created.

Apparently it IS too much to ask.

Yah, the few things it did well 4 years ago are no longer done well. They fixed those features.

I am so glad to know that I am not the only person who has problems with ITunes. I do not have an IPhone, but do have 2 Ipod touches. One is older just for our water aerobics, the other I have had for a couple of years and I use mainly for Audio Books which I get from Audilble.com so I don't have to deal with ITunes.

I have tried and tried, and just can not really figure it out. It is the only software that has just kicked my ass. I thought it was because I was getting older, but I don't seem to be alone on this.
