I am so glad to be on the other side of my quote-unquote jury service. It ended up being to serve on a trial jury but for a civil trial- essentially a lawsuit, for someone hurt in a motor vehicle accident. I know you're relieved to get that behind you, and to have reported honestly about your possible bias. Whew!

For over a decade I worked in an office from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and, looking back, have NO IDEA how I did that. How did I wake up in the dark, drive downtown, and be at my desk at 6:30 IN THE MORNING? I absolutely loved the lack of traffic, getting home in the afternoon so early, and being all alone in the (very large) office for the first few hours (I'm somewhat of a hermit too) but... HOW DID I DO IT? *ponders*

I would have thought your job might make you get excused from that kind of a trial. I'm glad it's over, and I'm sorry your back is acting up. Walking seems to be the best thing for keeping my own back from acting up, though everyone is different.
