Indie Gig and Idol Win
Independence Day this year was spent celebrating indie bands with ursula. Though I have no previous knowledge of the featured artists, I have no problem welcoming new sounds. Especially when she attached footnote videos & then saying, ticket's already covered. Careful, you're turning into a groupie, too! So it safe to say they are emo band along the lines of Fall Out Boy & Panic! At the Disco. I say that with love because, hey, I know of them. Sissy has their albums;)

"There for Tomorrow" came on first and I'd go for sounds like theirs. Rock is not lost on kids today. /shot Adding the fact that their guitarist reminds us a bit of Ryan Gosling wasn't too bad either. If Ryan Gosling were creepy catching photos behind people, then, yeah. There was a weird bit where someone threw a pink bra with a letter written on it & urging the singer to wear it. I've heard more of the panty-throwing variety groupies than bras---so times have changed.
After a good numbered setlist, "Every Avenue" came on looking very much they can play the roof off the Skydome as well. The tattoos were lovely to see on that guy. Though how can you top creepy Ryan Gosling being creepy?

In support of y_slaybelle, this was my great Idol exposure.
My head is lolzing for an old song to have stuck in my head by Cutting Crew written about sex and finally finding David Cook cover it. Then he teased a bit of Free Bird by Lynard Skynard. Waaahh!!! Me Gusta! I can imagine him joining the Hair Bands era. Mullet Rock FTW \0/ Such a modest darling he'd be.
