[voiced/action]

[Her voice is calm, but a bit shaky.] Mithos? Nia? C-Capell? ...I've returned.

[She sounds well enough, right? The poor half-elf is a lot more beat up than she sounds. She's just kinda in shock right now, and it isn't really processing in her mind that she's not in the best condition.

But hey, at least she's back. ♥]

Hold on, Martel, I'm coming.

Where are you?

I appear to be south of the village. Where the river meets the trees.

I can meet you partway, if you like?

Are you okay to walk? I'm fine coming all the way to you, so you don't have to.

I... [She finds herself lightheaded, and crouches down for balance.] Perhaps I'll wait here.

Are you sure? If you just got back from a kidnapping, then you probably need some kind of help...

I believe assistance is on the way. Thank you, though, for your concern.

[Sometime after Martel has made it home and her visitors are gone, Yazoo makes his way to check on her, intending it to be a quick glance in though the window. No need to linger.]

[But she's not as asleep as he was probably hoping, so when he glances in the window, she meets his glance with an inquisitive gaze of her own.]

[Caught; Recognizable hair and eyesmake for a bad ninja. He doesn't show any sign of being suprised--Any person, human or nonhuman or otherwise--That would befriend one of them was strange to begin with. He stops and keeps the gaze, but still says nothing...The window was shut anyway.]

[She gazes back for a minute, then carefully gets up and nods her head in the direction of the front door, heading in that direction to meet him there. If the window were open, she'd have told him to come in, but this was the only alternative she could think of. You'll have to be a little patient, Yazoo, she's still a bit wobbly.]

M-... Martel! [His voice might be cracking, just a bit.] Martel, where are you?!

[In as soothing a voice as she can manage, though it's a little shaky:] I'm nearly home. I'm so sorry I worried you...

[This is totally laster that night, after Mithos and Martel had gone back in the house. >> Here's a Capell sneaking back over to house 2, and finding Martel's window, sits below it and places his flute to his lips.

And now he's gonna play the song he wrote for her, and hope she hears it.]

[She'd spent the last hour or so in the state between 'so exhausted she can't not sleep' and 'can't sleep due to so much on her mind', so it takes maybe thirty seconds of the familiar song before she realizes it's actually coming from somewhere other than whatever semiconscious dreams she may have been having. When she does, though, she immediately slides out of bed (the floor is chilly on her bare feet... She'd ended up changing into something simpler so she could relax properly).

Now, she's climbing back onto the bed about halfway down, and, with a glance at her closed door, she quietly slides the window open. She's not ashamed of you, Capell, but she just... doesn't want her brother to be angry. She's had enough of that whole mess for the day.

And you'll have a Martel leaning against the windowsill, her chin resting on her arm, softly humming along.]

[No worries, he understands. When he hears her humming, he glances up but continues to play, wanting to reach the end of the song. This is her song, he wants it to make her feel better. And as the last notes of the song drift away, he turns to look at her, giving her a smile.]

Hey.

[And all the thoughts and worries that the song had distracted her from come rushing back now.]

I'm so sorry...

[And she means it, too. D: She could tell it had hurt him, and she didn't like it when he hurt...]
