On of the best purchases I ever made was an alarm clock with a CD player. Im one of those people that wake up very easily and the jarring buzz or beep of standard alarm clocks is overkill. With the CD player i generally wake up to the sound of the CD spinning before the song comes on. This has come in handy on days where the volume was turned way ( Read more... )

two ideas - The Clash, London Calling, "London Calling", or if that is too 'much' for the morning, then Liz Phair, Exile in Guyville, "6'1"".

I dont think London Calling would be too much, i can kind of see waking up to the first couple seconds of that song. I dont know the Liz Phair song. My fist thought was to go download it (which i probably will later out of curiosity) but its not going to wake me up very well from the computer.

The only problem is that i dont own either of these CD's...

I could burn a wake up CD, that way im not confined to the first tracks...i can make whatever i want the first track. Eh...to much trouble.
