I'm glad to hear other people thinking about these problems? For what it is worth I have quite similar feelings to you about relationships in general. I expect that good relationships take work and that they always have their rough patches and even things that people never manage to work out. (My parents have been married for more than thirty years and theirs, as the relationship I'm most familiar with, certainly does, even though I think on the whole it is good.) And I want to maintain flexibility on small things while being upfront about my attitudes on the big ones, like gender, religion, and money. I don't have any ability to comment on how you've noticed other people react to it, of course, because of my own lack of experience.
