This is so fricking adorable HOW EVEN? I've loved the bits of it you've shared with me already, but all laid out together? It's so good, precious and adorable, with rough, hard bits and some soft tenderness as well. I giggled at the bit with coronation/carnations! Chris is so in love with poor Linda. XD Oh and all of this:
Gene heaves a huge sigh, lets Sam pull him towards the door. “G’night, Manchester!” he roars, throws his arms out to either side and slaps Chris in the face. “G’night, Skelton.”

“Goodnight, Guv,” Chris mumbles, nursing his nose. “Get ‘ome safe.”
