you should try to find the judy garland recording of "have yourself a merry little christmas". she sings that same verse (i think it's probably the original version that sinatra or someone changed), and she has that voice that's solid emotion... it really makes the song so much sadder than the campy, christmas-carolers way we normally think about it.

i'm sorry we didn't get to hang out over thanksgiving break, and hopefully i'll catch you over christmas break.

although it's been said many times, many ways...

peace and love

Oh, good version! dreamerjewelz December 5 2004, 21:29:35 UTC
It's from "Meet Me in St. Louis," possibly one of the best musical movies, in my opinion. Honestly, maybe it's not, but I *heart* Judy Garland, and she is fabulous in that film.

Hopefully people come up with some good ideas for incentives...I've thought of a few, but nothing that really fits.

Well jeez, what kind of thing would "fit"?

I miss and love you too Charlie! (as always)

While I don't know how true that lyric is for me now or ever for that matter... it's poweful man, very powerful... that's about all I can say at this point.

As for the incentive, I don't have the time or energy right now to really think of anything good... but being me, and Julia being hot and you being single of course the things that come to mind are pretty much all purely sexual ;) Although I don't know how much you'd mind that! hehe

Good luck with the post office woman. I am going to force you to hang out with me some time over break, but I'm only home for... *counts the calender days*... 15 days! You can run, but you can't hide in Westminster, that's for sure!

*Mwha!*

*ehem*... Here's my best 70's rock star drug addict voice. Ok, just work with me.

"I feel it in my fingers,
I feel it in my toes,
Christmas is all around me,
and so the feeling grows

It's written in the wind,
It's everywhere I go,
So if you really love Christmas,
C'mon and let it snow"
