So I'm here at work, and I realize that about... oh, say, 8 to 9 months ago, I just sort of stopped posting to LJ. Mostly because I wasn't in front of the computer much, but also because I kind of... well... forgot about it ( Read more... )

Yeah, you probly would be... That way you just described typing is how I learned how to play piano..

Granted, I don't have access to a real piano... Just the ones at school, and seeing as I am going very-part-time... Not playing much anymore...

You should try!! Reading music is easy if you have some sort of mild form of intelligence and common sense...

KEYBOARD!

They are fun, esp if they have a midi component...You can plug them into your computer, and the such.. Ask Mark...He knows, and moreso than I.

That's called touch typing, where you just kinda ignore the keyboard and muscle memory just kinda spits out the letters.

Get to the point where you dont' think about keys at all and only type in words and phrases. That's how you know you're only a short time away from carpal tunnel syndrome.

Which is exactly why I take Aleve religiously now and wear a wrist brace to sleep...

Typing for a living and previous percussion...

percussion has nothing to do with it really provided you play the right way. I think there's probably some genetic disposition to it as well
