This morning, I woke up with a little less than the will to go to work. It's a shitty feeling, and I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about; part of me would rather be doing something very mindless that I can shirk 7 out of the 8 to 9 hours a day that I work. This morning was one of those "give me a reason to stay at this job" mornings. The ( Read more... )

At least *you* weren't hit by the bus...

I think Gabe and Tycho would flip that bus off for you, if you asked nicely enough...

I have an exboyfriend who was hit by a bus. But he wasn't driving; he was walking. Actually, I have two exboyfriends who routinely get his by buses. I'm not lying. Neither drive. Both are still alive.

"routinely get hit by buses"?? Nikki... do you own a bus?

Not anymore. Heh. They're just careless people running loose in the mean streets of Baltimore. Plus, it's not like the bus drivers up here are any good. If I had a dollar for every time I saw a Baltimore bus driver driving while talking on a cell phone, I could afford to buy my own fleet of buses. No exaggeration. Crazy bastards.

I'm glad it was a seemingly slow-moving bus....cuz...no offense to your girlfriend (and I don't mean Jo), but Jeeps aren't exactly tanks. Glad you're okay babydoll....keep an eye out for those killer busses....

Also...."Annie the Pyromaniac Badger" brought joy to my day.

Not exactly tanks, no, but as I discovered this morning, the actual car-piece pieces are about as expensive to replace as Lego. Oddly enough, the fiberglass parts will cost about half to replace what the plastic parts do, and that's only if I feel like I want to get rid of the small crack someday.

Lucky, that's all I have to say.

Sticks and stones will break your bones, but tanks will run you over.

...I'm... glad you driv ea jeep... and not a styrofoam civic. I'm sorry that a bus hit you-- that's crazy-- but, apparently, you've come out of it with a life-altering outlook (for a day at least!) so... it's good?

Good luck with fixing the car. Bus didn't stop? at all? (do buses have insurance? who pays for it? the stae? so, taxes, right, which means that if the bus company's insurance were to pay, it'd really be the state paying, which would be, in part, you paying for the damage that the bus did to your car.)
