We're Freezing Here!

And by freezing, I mean it's 50* and rainy.  Yuck.  I know all you people up North somewhere smirk when a Southerner says something like that, but I am allowed.  I lived in a suburb of Chicago for 8 years, so I really do know what cold is.  And in my book, this is almost as bad, because we're just not equipped to handle it.  Our blood is thinner, ( Read more... )

I had to google a Fahrenheit to Celsius converter before I could figure out how cold it was where you are... It has been below freezing every night here for the last month or so... I'm relieved we don't have snow yet. I broke out the winter gear almost three weeks ago. And this is a VAST improvement over my original hometown, where I had to wear a snowsuit under my Halloween costume as a kid. I remember having FEET of snow while trick-or-treating!

Ideally, we'd stay at about 70* all year, with Christmas Eve snow.

When I was growing up, we did trick-or-treating in the snow too. Kind of ruins the effect of the costumes when you have to wear a parka over the top! =)
