Yay for Aussies I say!

I still am having a hard time thinking leakywiki is a bad thing no matter how much they try to convince me it is. I do see the problem with outing spies but other than that..

I'd probably rather live in a world where it can be an issue than one where it could never have happened?

Oh hell yes. And imagine if someone had done this with the evidence about WMD's before Desert Storm?

Iraqi children could still be getting raped by Hussein's terror squads.. umm I mean..

Yes I'm still conflicted on that;) Glad Hussein's gone but we're gonna pay a lot for having done it. I'm not sure any more that you can 'give' anyone freedom by invading them and 'liberating' them anymore than you can 'give' someone prosperity by writing them a welfare check.

The United States, promoting dependency for domestic citizens and foreign nations alike since 1913!

And even if it was well done, doesn't it make us hypocrites for ignoring Tibet, etc? There's something to be said for military isolationism, at least it's philosophically consistent.

They DID. >.<
We just chose to ignore '97 and '98 because it happened under Clinton (and under the U.N. name, whatever our involvement). >.<

As much as I bitch about starting in Iraq before finding a goal and then an exit strategy for Afghanistan, I *am* glad that Saddam Hussein is gone.

I have no easy answers on that, alas. :/

LOL!
On our first meeting at a DragonCon she and I wound up talking about everything from Clausewitz to old SCUD throw weights (unclass, of course, praise Jane's?). ^_^

LOL!
Since all I ever used to use was what I typed in myself (and saved), Castiglione would be more probable --
But I COULD be different and quote Saxe, or Vegetius, or Rommel?
